Eggless Jelly Cake In Sauce Pan

  • All purpose flour 2 cup

  • Powdered sugar 1 cup

  • Refined oil 1 cup

  • Yoghurt 1 cup

  • Baking powder 1 tbs

  • Baking soda 1 tbs

  • Sprig vanilla essence 1 tbs

  • Apple jelly 1 cup

  • Milk 1 cup

  • Cherries 2 tbs

  • Sprinkles 2 tbs

  • Salt 1 pinch


  • In a large mixing bowl add oil, sugar, yoghurt , vanilla essence , salt and apple jelly(1/2 cup).
  • Mix very well and sieve flour , baking powder and baking soda thrice. Now pour dry ingredient into wet mixture laddle by laddle and combine. Add milk as required to make a smooth batter.
  • Now grease the deep sauce pan with butter and dust some flour. Now pour the batter filled upto half of the sauce pan.
  • Baking technique is different ; place the tawa on low flame and now place the sauce pan filled with batter and cover the lid.
  • Bake the cake for 45 minutes. Dont check inbetween and check after 45 minutes with toothpick.
  • Allow the cake to cool down for about 15 minutes. Then demould the cake and place on the rack to cool completely.
  • Now place the prepared cake on the serving plate , apply apple jelly on the walls of cake and sprinkle powdered sugar on the top. Decorate with sprinkles and cherries.
  • Slice the cake and serve.
