EGGLESS ORANGE POPPY SEED BUNDT CAKE

Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 1 cup butter , softened


  • 2 cups sugar


  • 1/2 cup yogurt


  • 1 teaspoon almond extract


  • 1 1/2 teaspoon sprig vanilla extract


  • 1/2 cup orange juice


  • 1 cup milk


  • 2 1/2 cup all - purpose flour


  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds


  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda


  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  • 1 teaspoon orange zest

Directions

  • Pre - heat oven at 180°C for 10 minutes .
  • Grase a bundt pan with butter and sprinkle some flour to coat the insides the pan .
  • In a large bowl , cream together the butter and sugar , until it's light and fluffy . Add the yogurt and beat well . Add the extracts too and beat again .
  • In another bowl mix together the flour , poppy seeds , baking powder , salt and orange zest , set aside .
  • To the cream butter mixture add the flour and juice mixture alternating between each and beating after each addition .
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and tap it on the counter to break air bubbles , if any .
  • Bake in the oven for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean .
  • Once done remove the pan from the oven and place it on the cooling rack for .
  • Heat a pan in low medium heat add 4 tablespoons sugar when it turns caramel add orange juice boil it for 5 minutes now add chat masala powder .
  • Now drizzle with the orange glazed and set for few minutes .
