Buckwheat Caramalized Beetroot Cake

  • All purpose flour 1/2 cup Buckwheat flour 1/2 cup

  • Grated Beetroot 1 cup

  • Sugar 3/4th cup

  • Meshed Banana 1

  • Baking powder 1 tbs

  • Baking soda 1 tbs

  • Sprig vanilla cake 1 tbs

  • Butter 1 cup

  • Banana pieces 1/2 cup

  • Dry fruits 4 tbs


  • In a mixing bowl pour melted butter, sugar , meshed banana, grated beetroot and vanilla essence. Whisk very well for about 5 minutes.
  • Now sieve the flour, buckwheat flour , baking powder , baking soda twice.
  • Now start pouring dry mixture laddle by laddle into wet mixture. Incorporate together by adding milk and set aside.
  • Meanwhile in another saucepan add butter (1/2 cup) and let it to melt. Now add 4 tbs sugar and 1/2 cup beetroot and stir occasionally. After 5 minutes sugar and beetroot will combine together by making it caramalized. Turn the flame off and set aside.
  • Preheat the pan for 10minutes. Now grease the tin with oil and pour the batter carefully and tap twice.
  • Now bake the cake for 45 minutes and allow it to cool completely. Slice the cake into two parts.
  • Now in a quinche tin spread the caramalized beetroot and place one layer of cake , apply sugar syrup. Next spread caramalized beetroot and place another layer of cake.
  • Keep the cake tin in fridge for 30 minutes. After that take the cake out and demould the cake and invert the cake.
  • On the top decorate the cake with banana slices , dry fruits and star nibbles biscuits.
  • Healthy and unique cake recipe is ready. Slice the cake and serve.
