  • Whole wheat flour 3/4 cup

  • Cocoa powder 1/4 cup

  • milk powder 2 tablespoons

  • brown sugar 3/4 cup

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • walnuts 2-3 tablespoons

  • Milk 3/4 cup

  • Dark chocolate 100 grams, chopped

  • Milk chocolate 50 grams, chopped

  • 1/4 cup butter

  • Fresh cream 1/4 cup


  • In a microwave safe bowl heat fresh cream and chopped chocolates with butter
  • Can also melt chocolates in a double boiler. Method: heat water in a vessel, only 1/4 full, place a wider bowl over this vessel, that does not touch the boiling water directly. Add cream and chopped chocolates and melt.
  • After chocolate has melted completely and has cooled down a little, add other ingredients directly into the chocolate mixture
  • Add sugar, milk powder, flour, cocoa powder and eggs
  • Preheat oven @180C.
  • In an oven tray spread walnuts and toast for 7 minutes in the preheating oven
  • Remove the walnuts, chop and add half of them into the above brownie batter and mix
  • Line a square 8×8 inch tray with parchment paper, paper should be a little bigger so that it is easy to remove the brownie after its baked.
  • Pour the batter in the tray and spread evenly. spread the remaining walnuts and bake
  • The brownies will be ready to relish in 18-20 minutes
  • They are ready in just 20 minutes. cool over a wire rack for 7 minutes
  • Serve these healthy, fudgy and deliciously yummy, warm brownies with a cup of coffee or with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream
