  • Whole wheat flour 1 cup

  • Almond flour 1/2 cup

  • Desiccated coconut 1/3 cup

  • Powdered sugar 1 cup

  • Milk 1 cup

  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon

  • Baking soda 1/3 teaspoon

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Sprig vanilla extract 1 teaspoon

  • Coco powder 1/4 cup


  • First mix both flours, coco powder, baking powder , powdered sugar and baking soda in a bowl.
  • Now sieve these dry ingredients twice.
  • Now mix milk and oil till both Incorporated nicely.
  • Add desiccated coconut and vanilla extract in dry ingredients and mix nicely.
  • Now start adding milk mixture in dry ingredients in two batches.
  • Use cut and fold technique to prepare batter.
  • Now grease and dust cake tin.
  • Pour cake batter in dusted tin and tap it twice.
  • Bake cake for 180 degrees for 40 minutes in preheated oven.
  • Do toothpick test to check.
  • Let it cool on wire rack for 10 minutes.
  • Spread desiccated coconut and garnish almonds on ready cake and serve it.
