plain flour 1& 1/2 cup
Cocoa powder 1/4 cup
Instant coffee powder 1 teaspoon
Baking powder 1 teaspoon
Baking soda 1 teaspoon
Melted butter or oil 1/4 cup
Castor sugar 1 cup
Milk 1 cup
Vinegar 2 teaspoons
Vanilla extract or essence 1 teaspoon
In a bowl add milk and vinegar and leave aside for few minutes. Preheat your oven @180C.
Meanwhile mix all dry ingredients, flour, cocoa powder, coffee powder, baking powder and soda. You can also sieve everything to avoid lumps in batter.
In the milk mixture add in butter, sugar vanilla extract and beat well.
Add flour to this mixture in 2-3 batch and fold gently.
Once everything is well incorporated pour batter in a loaf tin. I used a 4×9 inch tin for this cake. Add water if batter looks very thick.
Cool the cake tin for 7-10 minutes over a cooling rack.
Invert the cake on the wire rack and let it cool for some time or serve warm to your family and friends
