In a mixing bowl add melted butter, powdered sugar , yoghurt and vanilla essence; whisk very well to make a smooth textuted mixture.
Now in another bowl sieve flour, baking powder and baking soda thrice and pour the dry mixture into wet mixture spoon by spoon.
Incorporate together to make a dough , add milk slowly and make a smooth batter. Mix grated apple and combine together.
Mean while preheat the oven for 10 minutes in 180°C. Grease the tin with butter and dust flour ; tap downward to remove extra flour.
Now pour the batter and tap twice. Bake the cake for 35 minutes and check with toothpick if its perfectly baked or not. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes then demould the cake and place on the wire rack to cool completely.
For apple frosting sauce ; pour sugar into in a large saucepan. Heat on low-medium heat, whisking the sugar until melted. The sugar will lump up first, then will completely melt. This will take about 10 minutes. Once the sugar has melted, stop whisking and allow to cook until the sugar has turned to a little darker color. The change in color will happen quickly, so don’t let it go too long or get too dark or it’ll burn.
Add butter and whisk until combined. The mixture will bubble up, but keep whisking until all the butter has melted and combined. Add apple cubes and apple slices and cook for 5 minutes.Slowly pour the heavy cream and little milk into the caramel and mix until get combined. Set aside.
Assemble the cake ; slice the cake into two layers. Then place the first layer and add apple thin slices and drizzle apple sauce(sauce of butter and sugar that we made).
Now place another layer and on the top drizzle apple sauce. Pile the apple cubes on the top and use a spoon to drizzle the remaining caramel sauce down the sides of the cake.
Cake is best served when apples are fresh, but can be refrigerated until ready to serve if needed.
Slice the cake and serve.
