Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • All purpose flour 1 cup


  • Butter 1 cup


  • Sugar 1 cup


  • Yoghurt 1/2 cup


  • Milk 2 cup


  • Baking powder 1 tbs


  • Baking soda 1 tbs


  • Sprig vanilla essence 2 tbs


  • Cornstarch 1 tbs


  • Coco powder 4 tbs


  • Condensed milk 1/2 cup


  • Salt 1 pinch

Directions

  • To make the cake, in a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, coco powder and salt. Set aside.
  • In a separate large mixing bowl, add melted butter , sugar , yoghurt and whisk for about 5 minutes or until light and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract and combine evenly. Add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, and combine using cut and fold method. If batter looks dry add spoon by spoon milk and mix to make a perfect batter.
  • Meanwhile grease the tin with flour and dust flour. Preheat the pan for 10 minutes by covering the lid on.
  • Pour the batter and tap twice to release bubbles. Place the tin and bake for 45 minutes. When its done check and allow it to cool completely. Demould the cake and set aside.
  • To make the pudding, in a medium saucepan, add together the flour, sugar and salt. Slowly mix milk and condensed milk until evenly combined. Stir in slow medium heat and cook, stirring often, until the mixture bubbles comes out. After 5 to 8 minutes it will get thickens.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract. Pour into a bowl, using a fine mesh sieve to remove any lumps. Cover the surface with plastic wrap and chill it for 2 hour.
  • Now assembling of cake , place the pudding on a plate next place the chocolate cake layer.
  • Again chill the cake for 30 minutes. Decorate it with banana slices , dry fruits and cherries.
  • Slice the cake and enjoy.
