Serves : 10
  • Plain flour: 1/2 cup

  • Cocoa powder: 1 n 1/2 tbsp

  • Baking soda: 1/4 tsp

  • Salt: 1/4 tsp

  • Egg: 1

  • Butter: 1/4 cup

  • Powdered sugar: 1/2 cup

  • Red food colour: 1 tsp

  • Vanilla essence: 1 tsp

  • Vinegar: 1 tsp

  • Milk: 1/2 cup

  • White choco chips: 2 tbspfor decorating


  • Mix together all the dry ingredients together in a bowl. Keep aside.
  • In another bowl, mix together powdered sugar and butter. Add 1 egg to it and whisk well.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the bowl gradually and mix.
  • Add food colour, vinegar, vanilla essence and milk and whisk well.
  • Batter should not be too runny.
  • To bake in oven : Preheat the oven, grease cupcake moulds, pour the cake batter into the moulds upto 3/4 th level, bake for 20 mins at 150°C.
  • To bake in pressure cooker: Pre heat the pressure cooker, with salt layered at the bottom and close the lid without whistle .
  • Grease the small cupcake moulds, pour the batter to 3/4 th level.
  • Keep a stand or plate inside the cooker on top of salt.
  • Place the cup moulds on it. Close the lid , bake for 15 mins on medium flame.
  • Remove from oven / pressure cooker, keep aside for 10 mins and demould and serve.
