Ingredients

Serves 25

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

  • 1/2 cup white sugar

  • 1/2 cup sugarcane syrup

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 th cup water

  • 3 1/2 cup wheat flour

  • 1/2 tspn ginger powder

  • 1/2 tspn nutmeg powder

  • 1/4 th tspn allspice powder

  • 4 egg whites for icing

  • 1/2 tspn cream powder

  • 1 tspn sprig vanilla

  • 4 1/2 cups powdered sugar

  • 2 to 3 drops each of green, brown and red gel food color

Directions

    Preheat the oven for 10 mins to 200 degree and line the cookie sheet with the butter paper.

    Take a large bowl and add sugar, butter and syrup.

    Mix it and add water, ginger, nutmeg powder and allspice.

    Mix it very well.

    Now add wheat flour and mix it very well so that they are combined to each other.

    Now the dough is ready.

    Roll it with the roller pin on the floured surface and make it 1/4 inch thick.

    Now refrigerate this sheet for four to five hours.

    After that, cut the sheet into your desired shape.

    As i have cutted into round cookie and house wall.

    Bake the cookies for ten to 12 mins.

    Now let them cool down completely.

    Now for icing, take a bowl, add egg whites, cream powder, sprig vanilla and powdered sugar.

    Mix it well and properly.

    Now split this icing in four bowls.

    Add one to one drops of green into one bowl and mix it.

    Add one to two drops of brown into another and mix it.

    And add one drop of red color into third one and mix it.

    You can keep the quantity of icing as per your choice of decoration.

    Now pour each each color icing in the piping bag.

    Decorate it as you want.

    As i have decorated house cookie.

    After decoration let the icing to dry for two hours.

    Now our ginger wheat bread cookies are ready to eat.

    Children like colorful cookies, so i decorated like this.
