  • 150 gms whole wheat flour

  • 90 gms sugar

  • 60 gms clarified butter

  • 15 gms refined flour

  • 3/4 tsp baking powder

  • 60 ml milk

  • 200 gms for icing: icing sugar

  • 1 tbsp milk

  • 2-3 drop vanilla essence

  • 2-3 drop food colour as per your choice


  • In a bowl add clarified butter and sugar and beat them well with help of hand mixer.
  • Now add wheat flour, baking powder and refined flour, mix them well with hands and make a dough with the help of milk.
  • do not knead just combined to form a dough.
  • make sure when the dough is cut it has a crumbly texture.
  • now flatten the dough and rollout slightly thick with the help of a rolling pin.
  • now with the help of Cookie Cutter cut into desired shapes and size. gather the remaining dough and again prepare biscuits from it.
  • place the biscuits on the tray lined with baking paper and bake in preheated oven at 150 degree Celsius for 12 to 15 minutes until the edges turn slightly golden
  • allow the biscuits to cool completely. biscuits will be soft when hot and turn crunchy when cooled.
  • for icing the biscuits : stir together icing sugar and milk until smooth
  • add Vanilla extract and mix till smooth and glossy.
  • add colour as per your choice
  • you can decorate the biscuits as per your choice. Dip the biscuits in the icing or paint them with the help of a brush.
  • You can also decrote the biscuits with melted chocolate.
  • Our festive cookies are ready to be served.
