Semolina Cake (In Kadai)


This cake is simply making in pressure cooker, soft and spongy cake.

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted, 3/4 cup powdered sugar ( according to sweetness) 1.1/2 cup bombay rava, 1/2 cup maida or wheat flour Pinch of salt, 1/4 tsp cardamon powder, 1/4 cup curd whisked, 1 cup milk adjust consistency 3/4 baking powder, 1/2 baking soda, Handful dry fruits chopped,as your wish 2tbsp tutti frutti optional


  • Preheat 10 mins kadai or cooker, add 1 cup salt then put in rack . when you use cooker remove the gasket lid and whistle then close it firstly In a bowl take melted butter and powdered sugar whisk continuously till the mixture turns silky smooth, further add rava , maida, salt, cardmom powder, adittionally add curd and milk mix well, rest for 30 mins, after 30 mins add baking powder and baking soda then add dry fruits and 2 tbsp tutti frutti mix well next transfer to the cake tin, bake the cake low to medium flame for 35 to 40 mins, check it from tooth pick or knife . while tooth pick is easily come out, cake is completely baked. Off the flame and remove cake tin and allow it to cool completely finally cut the cake and serve it, more delicious and easy cake method.. Notes:- Mix it cut and fold method, you are using salted butter then avoid adding extra salt, then replace maida with wheat flour to make cake healthy and make a batter is thick flowing consistency to cake more spongy and soft.
