Whole Wheat Half Way Cream Cheese Cake With Pomegranate

  • Wheat flour 1 cup

  • Sugar 1/2 cup

  • Butter 1/2 cup

  • Yoghurt 1/2 cup

  • Pomegranate juice 1/2 cup

  • Baking powder 1 tbs

  • Sprig vanilla essence 1 tbs

  • Milk 1/2 cup

  • Cream cheese 1/2 cup


  • Sieve the flour, baking powder thrice. Deseed the pomegranate and crush it to make juice.
  • In a mixing bowl add melted butter, sugar , yoghurt , pomegranate juice and mix very well. Now add sprig vanilla essence and whisk.
  • Start pouring dry mixture into wet mixture laddle by laddle and combine. Add little by little milk and combine to make a perfect bater.
  • Preheat the pan and grease the tin. Pour the bater and tap twice. Place the came and bake the cake for 45 minutes.
  • After 45 minutes when its done allow cool it completely. Demould the cake and keep aside.
  • Now in a mixing bowl add cream cheese and 2 tbs of milk , whisk very well to make a smooth frosting. Mix sprig vanilla essence to give it a nice flavour and mix again.
  • Now place the cake and cut it into half. Spread cream cheese frosting and drizzle some pomegranate juice drop by drop and give desired design. Decorate with pomegranate and serve.
