  • 1 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder sifted

  • 1 cup butter

  • 3 eggs

  • 3 tspn vanilla

  • 3 cups flour

  • 1 tspn baking powder


  • First of all we have to mix butter and sugar with the mixer.
  • After mixing, add eggs and sprig vanilla to it.
  • Mix it again with the mixer till it becomes soft.
  • Now in another bowl, add flour and baking powder.
  • Mix it and add this dry flour mixture to the butter mixture slowly slowly so that it does not get messy.
  • Now when the mixture gets mix very welll then blend it with the mixer for two to three mins.
  • Now the batter is ready, so divide it into two portions.
  • In one portion, add sifted cocoa powder and blend it very well.
  • Now grease the loaf pan and pre heat the oven for 10 mins.
  • On the other hand, pour half of the vanilla batter into the loaf pan.
  • Then pour half of the chocolate batter over the vanilla batter.
  • Now again pour vanilla batter then layer of chocolate batter.
  • Now with the knife, cut into the batter in different patterns to give the marble effect.
  • After cutting, place this loaf pan in pre heated oven for 50 mins.
  • When it is done, check with the knife.
  • If it comes out clean, it means it is done.
  • Demould it when it cools down.
  • Then cut it into slices.
  • This can be enjoyed at evening tea time.
