Ingredients

Serves : 12
  • 5 tbsp condensed milk / milkmaid


  • 3/4 cups butter at room temperature


  • 1/4 cups powdered sugar


  • 1 1/4 cups maida


  • 1/4 cups cocoa powder


  • 1/2 tsp baking soda


  • 1 tsp baking powder


  • 1/4 tsp salt


  • 1 tsp vanilla essence


  • 1/2 cups warm milk or as required


  • 5 tbsp for cocoa fudge frosting–soft unsalted butter


  • 2/3 cups cocoa powder


  • 3/4 cups powered sugar


  • 3/4 cups amul cream


  • 1 tsp vanilla essence


  • 1/8 tsp salt


  • 10-12 nos for decoratin : kit kat chocolate packet


  • 4 nos gems packets


  • 2 nos packets cadbury shots


  • 4 nos cadbury nutties packets


  • 1 nos any round shape chocolate

Directions

  • Sieve the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda together in a bowl twice.
  • In another bowl, cream butter and sugar together Add condensed milk to this butter mixture and cream it well.
  • Add vanilla essence to milk and mix it well.
  • Into the butter mixture, mix wet and dry ingredients in batches.
  • Butter the baking tin and place parchment/butter paper.
  • Place the batter in the tin and bake it at 180 degree for 30 minutes.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the tin for 10 minutes. Unmold the cake from the tin.
  • Method of making chocolate frosting– Melt the butter in a heavy bottom pan. Add cocoa powder and sugar and stir it continuously, then slowly slowly add the cream.
  • Stir the mixture continuously till the mixture become smooth and hot. Do not boil. Remove from heat and add vanilla essence and mix well.
  • Cut the cake so as to level it. Coat the second layer of the cake with sugar syrup.
  • Cover the second layer with chocolate icing. Repeat the same process for the first layer of the cake.
  • Before you perform final finish, set the cake for 10 minutes in refrigerator.
  • In order to get back to the icing or frosting, heat it for 10 seconds in the microwave and pour it over the cake till the whole cake cover with icing.
  • Stick the Kit Kat to the side of the cake (break them in twos) making sure no frosting will be showing and no space is between the KitKats. cover the top with Gems, Cadbury shots, and Cadbury Nutties as shown in the picture or as per your choice.
  • Wrap a ribbon around the cake as a decoration and to secure the Kitkats in place.
  • Note– Make sure the combined height of the cake layers are lower than the KitKats. Remove the ribbon before cutting the cake and enjoy it!
