Ingredients

Mint 1/2 bunch
Channa dal - 1 cup soaked and drained
Green chilly 4
Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon (optional)
Chaat masala - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
Salt 1/4 teaspoon or to taste
Rice flour 3 tablespoon
2 tablespoon Fennel Seeds
Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
Lime - juice of 1/2 lime
Ginger 1 inch
Directions
Soak channa dal for at least 4-5 hrs or overnight. Then Drain and keep aside.
Grind the channa dal coarsely without adding any water.
Make a paste of the Ginger & green chillies and mix it to the ground channa dal.
Add rice flour, turmeric powder, fennel seeds, chopped mint leaves, red chilli powder and salt. Mix well.
Make round tiny balls/ kebabs of the above mixture. Keep it ready and set aside.
Heat the Appe pan, brush each mould with oil and Put the prepared balls/ kebabs in it.
Cook on medium flame till they are golden brown in color.
Serve hot with some tomato ketchup / green chutney and a hot cup of masala chai.
