Healthy Beetroot Flavoured Cake topped with chocolate icing

  • 2 cup Maida

  • 1 cup Sugar

  • 1 cup Refined oil/olive oil

  • 1 tsp Baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2-3 drops of rose essence

  • 2 small beetroot grated n boiled (2 whistles in cooker)

  • Mix dry-fruits chopped 8-10pc

  • Icing cream 2 cups (beat well)

  • Sugar-Water syrup (take 2tablespoon sugar with 4tablespoons water, just mix nicely till sugar dissolves)

  • Dry powder cake colours - just to sprinkle on each flower, 1/4th on each flower for the colour only


  • Sieve maida, baking powder & baking soda all together, Keep aside.
  • Put milk, add sugar n oil, beat well.
  • Add essence n boiled beetroot , again beat well.
  • Now add the sieved maida mixture slowly slowly.Mix well.
  • Now add the boiled beetroot and Lastly mix dry fruits in it.(No need to put on top, as the top layer will be taken out while icing, so no need)
  • Pre-heat the oven at 150degrees for 10-15minuets.
  • Now greece the aluminum cake tin, put batter inside n bake it for 35-40 minutes at same 150degrees.
  • When it beeps take out nicely, do icing as per ur own choice
  • Note- while doing icing cut the first layer nicely, keep aside & then divide it in 3 layers, put in each layer a syrup of sugar water and then put icing cream in between each layer Note- It's a nice flavoured healthy cake, while beating the cake it shows purple colour, after that it changes to light baby pink n then finally it comes out in dark brown fully baked colour as I have shown in picture, decorate as u want of ur own choice.
  • Use these Colours as depicted in pictures
  • Firstly boil the beetroot this way in pressure cooker
  • Close the lid
  • Give 1 whistle and then will do the decoration after it comes to room temperature
