  • 150ml sunflower oil

  • 2 eggs

  • 150g sugar

  • 175g flour

  • 25g cocoa powder

  • 150ml milk

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1 cup butter

  • 1 cup icing sugar

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder

  • 3/4 cup milk


  • Whisk eggs,150g sugar, milk and oil together.
  • Add in flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and mix well.
  • Pour batter in a well prepared lined cake pan
  • Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C for 30- 40 mins or until a skewer comes out clean .
  • Leave to cool in the pan before removing
  • To make the frosting : Cream butter and half sugar and cocoa powder . Add milk little by little.
  • Gradually add the remaining sugar and cocoa powder and mix well until it thickens and has the consistency of a frosting.
  • when the cake has cooled down , Layer the cake and frost each layer well. Decorate as desired.
  • Serve with ice cream
