  • 2 cups Maida

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 2 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1/2 cup chopped Roasted Almonds

  • 2 tsp Sprig vanilla extract

  • 1 cup very hot water

  • For Frosting

  • 1 cup Harsheys Almond spread

  • 3/4 cup grated chocolate


  • Preheat oven at 180 ℃ . Coat a 13" x 9" baking dish with oil.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. 
  • Using an electric mixer, beat in eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla. Add hot water and mix until combined. Batter will be quite thin. Now mix chopped almond.
  • Pour batter into prepared baking dish. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. 
  • Let it cool completely, then demold the cake (we can also keep it in fridge for few mins ) before frosting.
  • For Frosting
  • Pour Hershey's Almond Spread over the cake and use an spatula or butter knife to spread it out evenly over the surface. Also sprinkle grated chocolate around the top sides of the cake.
  • Allow it to set for a few minutes before slicing and serving the cake.
