Ingredients

Serves : 15
  • 1/2 cup malai


  • 3/4 cup sugar


  • 11/2 cup maida


  • 1 cup milk


  • 1/2 cup curd


  • 4-5 betel leaves


  • 2 packet flavoured supari


  • 1 tsp sweetened fennel seeds


  • 1 tbsp gulkand


  • 1/4 tsp vanilla essence


  • 1/2 tsp baking powder


  • 1 tsp baking soda


  • 5-6 drop edible green color


  • 2-3 tbsp chopped pista for garnishing

Directions

  • Preheat oven at 170°
  • Remove stalk from betel leaves and tear them into small pieces
  • Grind it in a mixer with little water
  • Pour this into a strainer and press it to remove all extract
  • Add milk to the jar and pour it into strainer
  • Add some colour to the strained betel milk and mix it well
  • In a mixing bowl mix maida,baking soda and baking powder and keep aside
  • In another bowl mix malai and sugar till fluffy
  • Add fennel seeds,flavoured betel supari,vanilla essence and gulkand and mix until combined
  • Add curd and mix
  • Add 1/3 rd milk and mix with spatula
  • Add half flour mix and fold it gently
  • Again add a portion of milk and mix until smooth batter forms
  • Pour it in the baking mould amd tap it
  • Add pista over it and bake it for 30-35 minutes
  • Allow it to cool on the wire rack and cut in desired pieces and enjoy
