Clean and cut the chicken into medium sized pieces. Marinate the chicken with the above-mentioned ingredients such as salt, red chilli powder, turmeric and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan, add chicken pieces and fry on medium flame.
Heat oil in another pan over medium flame and add sliced onion, green chilly, curry leaves and crushed ginger & garlic; saute till raw smell goes off.
Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilly powder, saute till raw smell goes off.
Add the tomatoes and mix well, then add the green peas. Add hot water as per required to make the gravy.
Add the fried chicken pieces and mix well. Add salt to taste, cover and cook for 2 minutes in low flame.
Finally, sprinkle 1 pinch of garam masala for flavour.
