Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • Chicken - 1kg


  • Green peas - 1(small bowl)


  • Tomato - 1 sliced


  • Onion - 1(nos) sliced


  • Ginger - 1 piece (crushed)


  • Garlic - 5 (crushed)


  • Green Chilly - 2(nos)


  • Curry Leaves - 1 sprig


  • Chilly Powder - 1tbsp


  • Turmeric Powder – 1/4 teaspoon


  • Coriander Powder - 1/2 tablespoon


  • Garam masala -1 teaspoon


  • Salt -2-3 teaspoon to taste


  • Coconut Oil - 2 1/2 tablespoon


  • Water - 1 cup as per required


  • For chicken fry masala:- Chilly powder - 1/2 tablespoon


  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon


  • salt - 2-3 teaspoon as per required

Directions

  • Clean and cut the chicken into medium sized pieces. Marinate the chicken with the above-mentioned ingredients such as salt, red chilli powder, turmeric and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add chicken pieces and fry on medium flame.
  • Heat oil in another pan over medium flame and add sliced onion, green chilly, curry leaves and crushed ginger & garlic; saute till raw smell goes off.
  • Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilly powder, saute till raw smell goes off.
  • Add the tomatoes and mix well, then add the green peas. Add hot water as per required to make the gravy.
  • Add the fried chicken pieces and mix well. Add salt to taste, cover and cook for 2 minutes in low flame.
  • Finally, sprinkle 1 pinch of garam masala for flavour.
