  • 1 cup millet/bajra flour

  • 3/4cup jaggery sugar or castor sugat

  • 1/4 cup oil ( unflavored )

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4tsp baking powder

  • 1/4tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1tbsp milk powder


  • sieve the millet flour
  • Put the oil and jaggery sugar in a bowl
  • Beat for few mins
  • Add baking powder and vanilla extract in it
  • Mix well
  • Now add little flour and mix well
  • Add little milk and flour in it
  • Mix together and add milk as per required
  • Mix gently
  • Add baking soda in 1/2tsp of water and add it in the cake batter and mix properly
  • Grease the cake tin or muffin mould and pour the cake batter in it
  • Put the cake tin or moulds in the preheated oven and bake for 25min at 170 degree
  • Check the cake with the help of toothpick and ensure that it will comes out clean
  • Turn out the warm cake from the mould
  • Millet vanilla cake is ready to serve
