Yet another, most wanted and high delicacy in toddy shop / kallu shap. Pork/Panni/Pig Ularthiyathu/Roast is also called Panni Ularthiyathu. This spicy dish is easy, simple and of course very tasty traditional disk. If you are a diet freak, keep off! But if you are a food junky.. then jump in! Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • Pork - 500 grams


  • Onion - 1(nos) chopped


  • Ginger - 2 (small piece) Garlic - 4 piece (crushed)


  • Green Chilly - 4(nos)


  • Curry Leaves - 1 sprig


  • Dry Chilly Powder - 1/2 teaspoon


  • Pepper - 1 teaspoon


  • Turmeric Powder – 1 teaspoon


  • Coriander Powder - 1 tablespoon


  • Garam Masala - 2 tablespoon (as per taste)


  • Salt - 2 -3 to taste


  • Coconut Oil - 2 1/2 tablespoon


  • Water - 1 cup

Directions

  • Clean and cut the pork into cubes. Cook the pork in water with turmeric and salt(10 minutes in low flame). Keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add sliced onion, green chilly, curry leaves, add crushed ginger and garlic; saute till raw smell goes off.
  • Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, dry chilly powder, pepper powder, garam masala (1tbsp) saute till raw smell goes off.
  • Next, add 3 tablespoon of boiled pork water and mix it well.
  • Finally, add the cooked pork and mix well. Add salt to taste, cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes in low flame.
