Ingredients

Serves : 20
  • Soaked(overnight) chick peas: 1.5 cups


  • Parsley leaves: 1/4 cup


  • Coriander leaves: 1/4 cup


  • Onion: 1


  • Green chilly: 1


  • Garlic: 4-5 cloves


  • Ginger: 1" piece


  • Coriander seeds: 1/2 tsp


  • Cumin seeds: 2 tsp


  • Pepper powder: 1/2 tsp


  • Lime juice: 2 tsp


  • All purpose flour: 2 tsp


  • Salt to taste: 1 pinch


  • Oil to deep fry : 1 cup

Directions

  • Soak the chickpeas in water for a minimum of 10-12 hours or more.
  • Drain the water completely
  • Add all the ingredients to a food processor or blender and blend until no chunks are seen and you get a coarse mixture
  • Allow this mixture to chill in fridge for 2-3 hours until the mixture gets little hard
  • Form roundels out of the mixture
  • Heat oil in low to medium flame and deep fry the roundels until all sides are equally golden brown in colour.
  • Serve as it is or crumble it and sandwich it between bread with French fries and sauces or mayonnaise
