Ingredients

  • 3-4 karela/ bittergaurd chopped


  • 1 onion chopped


  • 1 tbsp oil


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1 pinch sugar


  • 1 tsp red chilly powder


  • 1/2 tsp haldi


  • 1 tsp mustard seeds

Directions

  • Take the chopped bittergaurd and apply salt on it and leave for a minute.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
  • Add onion, salt, sugar, haldi and mix well
  • Wash the bittergaurd under water and add it into the pan.
  • mix it well and saute for some time.
  • cook till the oil separates.
  • Add red chilly powder and mix.
  • Serve hot.
