Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 2 cups leftover dal


  • 1 nos onion chopped


  • 3-4 nos curry leaves


  • 1 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1 tsp carrom seeds


  • 1 cups wheat flour


  • 1 tbsp oil


  • 1 tsp chopped coriander

Directions

  • Take wheat flour in a large bowl and add some salt.
  • Knead little bit stiff dough.
  • add carrom seeds, apply some oil and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
  • add onion, curry leaves, salt turmeric powder and saute.
  • Add leftover dal and pinch of sugar.
  • Let it come to a boil.
  • Meanwhile with the dough make a thin roti and cut it into pieces ( diamond shape or any desired shape )
  • When dal comes to a boil add the phal and cimmer on low flame.
  • add coriander leaves and serve hot.
