Take wheat flour in a large bowl and add some salt.
Knead little bit stiff dough.
add carrom seeds, apply some oil and keep it aside.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
add onion, curry leaves, salt turmeric powder and saute.
Add leftover dal and pinch of sugar.
Let it come to a boil.
Meanwhile with the dough make a thin roti and cut it into pieces ( diamond shape or any desired shape )
When dal comes to a boil add the phal and cimmer on low flame.
add coriander leaves and serve hot.
