Fish 1 kgs
Green Chilly 3 nos
ginger 1 piece
Shallot crushed 5 nos
Curry leaves 1 sprig
Coconut oil 2 tbsp
Kudampuli/ Cambogia as per taste 6 nos
Salt to taste 2-3 tsp
For Gravy:- (Make the paste using a blender) Garlic 1 nos
Grated coconut 1/2 nos
Pepper powder 1/4 tsp
Cheriya jeerakam / Cumin seed 2 pinch
turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder 1 1/2 tbsp
Water (as per required) 1 cups
Grind the gravy ingredients to a fine paste using a blender or traditional grinder.
Once the clay pot / manchatti becomes hot, add the gravy and stir well on a low flame. Also, add curry leaves, ginger, green chilly,kudampuli/cambogia and salt to taste.
Once the gravy starts to boil add the fish pieces.
Cook the fish on low flame for few minutes, till the fish tenders.
Once well-cooked turn off the gas.
Finally, add shallots (crushed), coconut oil.
