Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1/2 kgs prawns


  • 2 nos green chilly


  • 1 piece ginger


  • 10 nos shallot


  • 3 nos garlic


  • 1 sprig curry leaves


  • 2 tbsp coconut oil


  • 1 nos tomato


  • 1 tsp pepper powder


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 1/2 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder


  • 1 tbsp coriander powder


  • 1 tbsp garam masala


  • 2-3 tsp salt to taste

Directions

  • Marinate the prawns in these ingredients for 20 minutes chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, pepper powder and salt.
  • Make a paste from these ingredients shallots, green chilly, ginger and garlic.
  • Once the clay pot / manchatti becomes hot, add oil, add the paste, saute till the raw smell goes off.
  • Once the gravy starts to boil add chopped tomato.
  • Next, add the marinated prawns.
  • Cook the prawns on low flame for few minutes, till the prawn tenders.
  • Once well-cooked turn off the flame, sprinkle freshly crushed pepper and season with a tablespoon of coconut oil.
