Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 kgs chicken


  • 1 nos potato


  • 1 nos onion sliced


  • 1 1/2 tbsp ginger, garlic (crushed)


  • 4 nos green chilly


  • 1 sprig curry leaves


  • 1 tbsp chilly powder


  • 1 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp coriander powder


  • 2-3 tsp salt to taste


  • 2 1/2 tbsp coconut oil


  • 1-2 cups water ( as per required)


  • 1 tbsp for chicken fry masala:chilly powder


  • 1 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder


  • 2-3 tsp salt (as per required)


  • 2-3 tbsp water (as per required)

Directions

  • Clean and cut the chicken into pieces. Take the chicken and marinate it in with all the marinating ingredients such as salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, pepper and Keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add chicken pieces and fry on medium flame. meanwhile, add salt on the potatoes and keep the side for a few minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium flame and add sliced onion, green chilly, curry leaves, add crushed ginger and garlic; saute till raw smell goes off.
  • Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilly powder, saute till raw smell goes off.
  • Next, add water as per required to make gravy. Once boiled add chicken fried pieces and mix it well. Add salt to taste, cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes in low flame.
  • Heat oil in a pan over a medium flame, add potatoes and fry them.
  • Add the fried potatoes to the curry and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
