Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Chicken 1 kgs

  • potato 1 nos

  • Onion sliced 1 nos

  • Ginger, Garlic (crushed) 1 1/2 tbsp

  • Green Chilly 4 nos

  • Curry Leaves 1 sprig

  • Chilly Powder 1 tbsp

  • turmeric powder 1 tsp

  • Coriander Powder 1 tsp

  • Salt to taste 2-3 tsp

  • Coconut Oil 2 1/2 tbsp

  • Water ( as per required) 1-2 cups

  • For chicken fry masala:Chilly powder 1 tbsp

  • turmeric powder 1 tsp

  • pepper powder 1/2 tsp

  • salt (as per required) 2-3 tsp

  • water (as per required) 2-3 tbsp

Directions

    Clean and cut the chicken into pieces. Take the chicken and marinate it in with all the marinating ingredients such as salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, pepper and Keep it aside for 10 minutes.

    Heat oil in a pan. Add chicken pieces and fry on medium flame. meanwhile, add salt on the potatoes and keep the side for a few minutes.

    Heat oil in a pan over medium flame and add sliced onion, green chilly, curry leaves, add crushed ginger and garlic; saute till raw smell goes off.

    Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilly powder, saute till raw smell goes off.

    Next, add water as per required to make gravy. Once boiled add chicken fried pieces and mix it well. Add salt to taste, cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes in low flame.

    Heat oil in a pan over a medium flame, add potatoes and fry them.

    Add the fried potatoes to the curry and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
