  • 1 kgs squid

  • 1 nos tomato chopped

  • 2 nos onion chopped

  • 1 tsp ginger, garlic chopped

  • 1 nos green chilly

  • 1 sprig curry leaves

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • 2-3 tsp salt - to taste

  • 2 tsp coconut oil

  • 1 cups water


  • Clean and cut the squid into rings. Cook the squid in water with turmeric and salt(10 minutes in low flame). Keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add sliced ginger, garlic, onion, green chilly and curry leaves; saute till it turns light brown.
  • Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilly powder saute till raw smell goes off.
  • Next, add chopped tomato with 1 cup of water, cover and allow to boil.
  • Finally, add the cooked squid and mix well. Add garam masala and salt to taste, cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes in low flame.
