Pan Fried- Flour Covered Potatoes (Viazi Karai)

Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1/2 tsp food coloring


  • 1 pinch salt


  • 1/2 cups water


  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder (optional)


  • 500 gms potatoes peeled


  • 125 gms wheat flour


  • 1/2 tsp ginger


  • 1 cups cooking oil

Directions

  • Boil potatoes in stove until edible
  • On a bowl, add flour, the food coloring, salt, ginger and chilli powder.
  • Mix them together before adding water to make a smooth paste
  • Add the boiled potatoes into the paste and cover whole potatoes with the paste.
  • On a pan, add oil and let it heat
  • Put in the pasted potatoes in the pan with oil until the paste is firm.
  • Remove from pan and put in a bowl.
  • Serve with sauce of option or drink.
