Description

This is my style chilman biryani, where I have used egg as a chilman or cover, I think it's easy version of any chilman biryani.

Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 200 gms for rice:basmati rice(soaked for 1/2 hours)


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1 tsp oil


  • 200 gms for chicken:chicken


  • 150 gms onion


  • 100 gms curd


  • 2 nos cloves


  • 2 nos green cardamom


  • 1 nos black cardamom


  • 1 nos bay leaf


  • 2 nos pepper corns


  • 1 nos nutmeg


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste


  • 1 tsp red chilly powder


  • 1 tsp roasted cumin powder


  • 1 tsp coriander powder


  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder


  • 2 tsp biryani masala


  • 1 tsp salt to taste


  • 1 tsp other ingredients:chopped coriander leaves


  • 1 tsp mint leaves


  • 1 pinch red colour


  • 1/2 cups flour water to stick edges

Directions

  • Heat half cup of oil in a pan and fry onion until brown.
  • Let it cool than grind to a fine paste using little water.
  • . In same oil saute all whole spices for few seconds ( mentioned above ).
  • Ad chicken and ginger garlic paste and cook till 10 minutes.
  • Ad all powdered spices, salt, biryani masala.
  • Cover the lid and cook till 5 minutes.
  • Ad beaten curd, prepared onion paste, 1/2 cup water and salt .
  • Cover the lid and cook till chicken tenders.
  • In large pot boil water with oil and salt.
  • Add soaked and drained rice and cook till 80% done, strain and keep aside.
  • Beat egg with salt and chilly powder
  • Heat oil in non stick pan, pour beaten egg, cook only one side, do not flip it.
  • Now in deep bottom vessel layer half of rice, sprinkle red Color.
  • Then lay prepared chicken ,chopped coriander leaves, mint leaves and again layer with remaining rice.
  • Stick half cooked omelette with flour water on edges of vessel.
  • Cover the lid and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Serve with onion rings and curd .
