Description
Fig is popularly known as Anjeer, is a delicious pulpy fruit belongs to the Mulberry Family. They are mainly consumed in dried form than fresh. Fresh figs are extensively used in milkshakes, salads, gravies, desserts, jams etc. Fig has a soft juicy pulpy texture and crunchy seeds inside which makes it amazing fruit to relish. Figs are commercially grown in the Middle East and western Asia and now widely cultivated throughout the world. Fresh figs are seasonal, however available throughout the year in dried form. They are a nutritious and very good source of fibers, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Proper peeling is highly recommended while making Fig or anjeer milkshake else it will give a bitter taste. Always use fresh ripe purple color fruit.

Ingredients
Serves 2
Fresh Ripe Figs(Properly peeled, diced) 3-4 nos
Chilled Milk (chilled) 1 1/2 cups
Sugar (Adjust as per your preference). 2-3 tbsp
Vanilla Essence 1/4 tsp
Small Ice cubes or crushed ice – 1/4 cup 2-3 nos
Garnishing : Chocolate syrup 1 tbsp
Directions
Wash and properly peel fresh figs. (Peel the figs properly before tossing them into blender else it will give bitterish taste to milkshake). Use ripe fruit for making a milkshake.
In a blender mix all the ingredients and half milk. Blend into a smooth puree.
Add ice cubes and remaining milk. Blend it one more time.
Pour into glasses.
Garnish and Serve chilled.
