  • 3 nos potatoes

  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds

  • 1/2 tsp kalunji

  • 2 nos dry red chilli

  • 1 pinch heeng

  • 1 pinch salt-according to your taste

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 8-10 nos coriander leaves few


  • cut the potatoes in long shape ( like French fries) wash it and keep a side
  • in a grinder pot add fennel seeds, heeng, dry red chili, & kalunji and make a fine powder this is known as achari masala
  • now heat oil in a pot add cumin seeds when its crackle add ginger garlic paste and saute for 2 minutes
  • now add potatoes and stir fry for 5 minutes
  • now add turmeric powder red chilli powder, chat masala and achari masala mix well
  • now add salt and one cup of water mix it well and cooked till potatoes become soft and tender
  • when its become soft saute well till oil comes now garnish with some coriander leaves and serve
