Cheesy Cauliflower Patties

  • 1 nos cauliflower

  • 1/3 cups yoghurt

  • 2/3 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/4 cups thinly sliced onions

  • 1 cups breadcrumbs

  • 2 nos green chilli's chopped

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves


  • Cut cauliflower into florets .
  • Cook in boiling water until tender, about 10 minutes.
  • Drain in a colander.
  • Grind or mash them into a paste.
  • Cut onions and chillies thinly.
  • Add onions, chillies, grated cheese and salt to the cauliflower. Mix well.
  • Also add yoghurt and breadcrumbs. First add 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs to bind the mixture to a soft dough.
  • If necessary add more breadcrumbs to combine the mixture. You can also increase or decrease cheese quantity.
  • Coat the bottom of a non stick skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • From the mixture, make small patties or tikkis and add to the skillet.
  • Cook until golden brown & set, about 3 minutes per side.
  • Flip the tikkis.
  • Transfer to a serving plate.
  • Fry all the tikkis in batches. Be careful to fry the tikkis as they are very delicate to handle.
  • Garnish with some coriander leaves and serve with sour cream or hung curd.
