Chikoo Milkshake


Quick and super easy milkshake prepared from chilled Chikoo and milk has a rich creamy texture and tastes awesome. Chikoo is also known as Sapodilla, Chico, Sapota and many other names. Chikoo flesh has earthy brown color with a grainy texture akin to that of a well-ripened pear and contains 3-6 seeds. The fruit is very sweet and has malty flavor. It is used in many food preparations; ice creams, juices, milkshakes, kheer or halwa etc.

  • 1 nos chikoo / sapodilla/sapota (washed and chilled)

  • 1 1/4 cups chilled milk (chilled)

  • 2 tbsp sugar (adjust as per your preference).

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla essence

  • 2-3 nos small ice cubes (optional)

  • 1 tbsp garnishing – chocolate sauce


  • Peel Chikoo. Cut into two halves. Remove the seeds.
  • In a blender mix all the ingredients and blend into smooth puree.
  • Pour into glasses. Add ice cubes or crushed ice.
  • Garnish and Serve chilled.
