Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1.5 cups leftover cooked rice


  • 3/4 cups besan


  • 1 tsp ajwain


  • 3/4 tsp turmeric


  • 3/4 tsp hing


  • 4 tbsp oil


  • 1 tsp water


  • 1.5 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1 tsp salt or as per taste

Directions

  • add water and rice grind well to form smooth lump free paste
  • add Besan and salt with dry masala in a bowl
  • Add rice paste and mix well
  • Make well in centre and pour hot oil
  • mix well and allow to cool
  • Knead into smooth dough
  • Grease sev mould. Add dough into it
  • Press batter into hot oil
  • Deep fry over high heat until golden brown
  • Drain excess oil over tissue paper. Cool completely and store in airtight container
  • Serve as required
