Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cups whole moong


  • 1 pinch sal as per taste


  • 1 piece asafoetida


  • 1/4 cups grated carrot


  • 1/4 cups grated cabbage


  • 1/4 cups grated beet


  • 2 tbsp pea


  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder


  • 1 cups tomato puri


  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds


  • 1 nos onion


  • 1 tbsp seasame seed


  • 1 tbsp grated cocount


  • 3 nos garlic cloves


  • 1 nos bay leaves


  • 3 tbsp fresh coriander


  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder


  • 1/2 tsp garam masala


  • 1 tsp chilli powder


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric


  • 2 tsp whole garam masala


  • 1 pinch salt to taste


  • 3 tsp white oil


  • 1/2 tbsp coriander leaves

Directions

  • Soak moong for 6hours.
  • Moong Grind with 3 green chillies, ginger, ½tsp cumin seeds and very to make a thick and fine paste.
  • Saute all veg .for 3 min.
  • Add sauted veg in moong past asafoetida , salt to taste, chopped fresh fenugreek or coriander
  • In the same mixer jar (don’t wash after grinding moong daal) grind chopped tomato, onion seasame seed cocount garlic .
  • Take out in a bowl and mix well.
  • Heat oil in a pan,make small fritters from the moong and veg mixture and fry on medium flame to a light golden brown colour.
  • Take 2 tbls oil in a pan
  • When start crackling add the ground tomato paste ,chilli powder.turmeric salt ,coriander powder ,kasoori methi and fry for 2-3 minute .
  • Add 2 glasses of water and cook for 10 minutes on medium heat .keep stirring
  • Add fried kofta's and garam masala powder and cover and cook for 10 minutes on slow heat.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander.and serve hot with plain rice or roti.
