  • 3 nos large ripe bananas

  • 1 cups oil

  • 1-2 cups ice cold water

  • 2 tbsp mixture of white and black sesame seeds

  • 3 tbsp for batter : all purpose flour

  • 3 tbsp cornflour

  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

  • 3-4 tbsp cold water

  • 1 cups for caramel :sugar

  • 1/4 cups water


  • Peel the banana and slice them into thick round slices. Keep aside.
  • Take the batter ingredients and make a smooth batter without lumps. The batter should not be running, should be slightly thick.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan. Take a skewer, dip the banana slices in batter and deep fry them in batches till golden. Remove in an absorbent paper and keep aside.
  • To make the caramel, in a pan add water and sugar and cook on low heat till the sugar melts and caramelised and turns golden. Take off the heat.
  • Now take the fried banana and dip them in the caramelised sugar, drop them in the ice cold water and immediately take them out.
  • Drain them and sprinkle sesame seeds and serve as it is or serve with icecream
