Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 700 gms chicken


  • 3 cups rice


  • 2 tbsp red chilli powder


  • 1 tbsp coriander powder


  • 1 tbsp garam masala


  • 1 tbsp cummin powder


  • 1 tbsp biryani masala


  • 3 tbsp ginger garlic paste


  • 1 cups curd


  • 1 tsp salt to taste


  • 1 tsp coriander


  • 5-6 nos mint leaves


  • 5-6 nos whole green chillies


  • 1-2 nos fried onion crushed


  • 1 cups oil


  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Directions

  • In a bowl take chicken and all the ingredients mix and keepit for marination atleast 30 mins.
  • Soak rice
  • In a big vessel boil the water, in this water add cloves, cardamom.cinnamon, black pepper shahi jeera( royal cummin) juice of lemon salt n drops of oil.
  • Let it boil once the water is boiling add soaked rice
  • Cook till only 80% done. Remaining will cook in dum method ( slow cooking) drain water from rice.
  • In a same vessel spread marinated chicken add oil and ghee on this spread the layer of rice. Sprinkle little oil or ghee to moist.
  • On top add food colour fried onion, mint n coriander leaves.cover it properly.
  • Let it cook on sim for 15-20 mins.
  • Once done immediately don't remove the lid. Let it cool for 5-10 mins.
