  • 2 nos large brinjals (thickly slice them and keep in a bowl with water n 1/2 tsp salt)

  • 1 cups gramflour (besan)

  • 1/4 cups rice flour

  • 1 pinch salt

  • 1/2 tsp sabzi masala

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp chilli powder

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder


  • make a not very thick nor thin batter of the above ingredients with water, keep wok filled up with oil on flame, let it heat up...
  • Dip each brinjal slice in batter n put in oil, put around 5-6 at a time..
  • Let it golden brown then turn the other side...
  • When done remove on strainer then keep on platter with kitchen towel on it...
  • Serve with tamarind n hot red chutney
