Ingredients
Serves 4
boneless mutton mince 500 gms
ginger garlic paste 4 tbsp
cornflour 2 tsp
roasted cumin powder 2 tsp
2 2 tsp
saunf or fennel powder 3 tsp
saunth or dry ginger powder 2 tsp
red chilli powder 2 tsp
salt 1-2 tsp
garam Masala powder 1 tsp
dahi 1 cups
tomato 1 nos
vegetable oil 4 tbsp
sliced onion 2 nos
turmeric powder 1 tsp
Directions
Mix ginger garlic paste, some salt, cumin powder and cornflour, mix them well with the mutton mince
Make small balls out of the mixture by wetting your hands with some water
Put required amount of water , with some whole garam Masala in a pan and wait till it comes to a boil
Add the meatballs and cook it for 20 minutes.
Then strain the water -- or yakhni-- ( don't discard the water ) it will be used later on. Keep the meatballs aside
Heat some oil in a non-stick pan, add sliced onions -- fry it till it becomes light brown in colour
Add ginger garlic paste , saute it
Now add, tomatoes, cumin powder , turmeric and red chilli powder -- saute for 10 minutes
Add beaten curd - again saute it till oil oozes out
Now add the leftover yakhni-- When it comes to boil add the meatballs
Cook it in low flame for around 45 minutes or till the meatballs are done
Before serving garnish it with some Pudina leaves and sprinkle some garam masala powder
