Take ghee in a pan and switch on the flame
Add besan and keep stirring for five minutes
Switch off the flame and toast besan for a few more minutes
Transfer to a bowl and allow to cool for 3 to 4 hours
Add powdered sugar, cardamom powder, powdered cashew and mix
Wait for 10 minutes
Later make balls of these and adapt to greased modak moulds
Decorate with saffron strands
Tasty besan modaks are ready
