Makhana kheer / Lotus seed kheer

Ingredients

Serves : 8
  • 8-10 nos rainsins


  • 6 cups milk


  • 5 nos badam chopped


  • 1 tsp cardamom powder


  • 30 gms grated coconut


  • 2 cups makhana


  • 1/2 nos milkmaid tin


  • 1 tsp ghee

Directions

  • Fry makhana in ghee and crush coarsely. In a pan mix crushed makhana and milk and simmer on slow fire for 5-10 mins.
  • Add grated coconut and continue to cook for another few minutes with frequent stirring, till creamy and little thick.
  • Add MILKMAID (Sweetened Condensed Milk) and cook for another 5 mins , till the desired consistency is reached.
  • Add cardamom powder.
  • Makhana kheer is ready to eat. serbe hot or chilled.
