Serves : 4
  • 1 cups sooji/semolina

  • 1 cups sugar

  • 2 cups water

  • 10 nos cashew nuts

  • 10 nos raisins

  • 2 nos çardamom

  • 4 tsp ghee

  • 1 pinch salt


  • In a heavy bottom pan add 1 tsp ghee and roast the cashew and raisins. take that and keep aside in a bowl
  • In the same pan dry roast the semolina till the semolina aroma occurs.
  • Transfer that into a plate. Add 2 cups of water into the same heavy bottom pan.
  • Add 1 tsp ghee and 1 pinch salt into the water and bring it to boil.
  • Add cardamom and also add the sooji and mix well to avoid lumps.
  • Once the sooji cooked well add the sugar and stir well.
  • Add the remaining ghee to the halwa and stir well till the ghee separates at the sides of the pan.
  • Finally add the roasted cashew and raisin in to the halwa
  • Transfer it to the plate and serve!!
