Ingredients

  • For mutton gravy : boneless mutton 500 grams


  • Curd 1/2 cup


  • tomatoes 2


  • coriander leaves 1 bunch


  • mint leaves 1 bunch


  • Cardamom 2


  • Cloves 2


  • cinnamon 1 inch piece


  • ginger garlic paste 1 tablespoon


  • red chilli powder 1 tablespoon


  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon garam masala 1 teaspoon


  • salt 1 teaspoon


  • oil 2 tablespoons


  • For frying : onions 2


  • Cashews 8


  • for making Daliya : crushed wheat 200 grams


  • masoor dal 2 tablespoon


  • toor dal 2 tablespoon


  • black grams 2 tablespoons


  • basmati rice 2 tablespoon


  • chana dal 2 tablespoon


  • water 5 glasses


  • For making haleem mixture : fried onions 1 cup


  • coriander leaves 1/2 bunch


  • mint leaves 1 /2 bunch


  • black pepper powder 1 teaspoon


  • Salt 3 teaspoon


  • For garnishing : Ghee 1 tablespoon


  • coriander and mint leaves 1 cup


  • Lemon 1


  • green Chilies 2

Directions

  • in a frying pan add oil and fry chopped onions and cashews till golden brown. keep them aside
  • in another pan add oil when it is hot add cinnamon cloves cardamom and cumin seeds. Saute them for a while.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes.
  • Now add turmeric powder chopped tomatoes and saute till the tomatoes get tender.
  • now add salt red chilli powder Garam Masala mutton curd chopped coriander and mint leaves.
  • add two glasses of water and pressure cook till 5 whistles.
  • Allow it to cool. mash mutton along with the gravy
  • For making dalia add the lentils and rice and saute till golden brown
  • in another pan add crushed wheat sauted lentils and rice
  • Allow it to cool and grind the mixture nicely. Keep this aside.
  • To this dalia add mashed mutton chopped mint leaves coriander leaves half amount of fried onions salt and oil.
  • Mix and blend them.
  • Cook for about half an hour.
