  • 1 cup cashews

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1/8 teaspoon cardamom powder

  • 1 teaspoon ghee


  • Grind cashews to fine powder and keep it aside
  • In a non stick pan, add sugar and water. Mix well
  • Keep stirring to form sugar syrup of 1 string consistency
  • Add in sieved cashew powder and mix well over low heat
  • Add cardamom and mix well
  • Once mixture starts forming a dough, add ghee and mix well.
  • Transfer mixture to Greased butter paper
  • Grease palms with ghee and knead cashews mixture to smooth dough while still warm for 30 seconds
  • Cover the mixture with another butter paper and roll with rolling pin of desired thickness. Remove top butter paper
  • Decorate top with silver varq if required
  • Trim edges and slice into desired shape
  • Serve as required
