Ingredients

Serves 8

  • 1 cup cashews

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1/8 teaspoon cardamom powder

  • 1 teaspoon ghee

Directions

    Grind cashews to fine powder and keep it aside

  • 02

    In a non stick pan, add sugar and water. Mix well

  • 03

    Keep stirring to form sugar syrup of 1 string consistency

  • 04

    Add in sieved cashew powder and mix well over low heat

  • 05

    Add cardamom and mix well

  • 06

    Once mixture starts forming a dough, add ghee and mix well.

    Transfer mixture to Greased butter paper

  • 08

    Grease palms with ghee and knead cashews mixture to smooth dough while still warm for 30 seconds

  • 09

    Cover the mixture with another butter paper and roll with rolling pin of desired thickness. Remove top butter paper

  • 10

    Decorate top with silver varq if required

  • 11

    Trim edges and slice into desired shape

  • 12

    Serve as required
