Ingredients

Serves : 10
  • 1.5 cups maida


  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder


  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar


  • 1/4 Cup ghee


  • 1/4 cup curd


  • 1/4 cup approx water or as required


  • 1 cup sugar


  • 1/2 cup water


  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder


  • 7-8 saffron strands

Directions

  • in a large bowl add Maida half teaspoon sugar baking powder and mix well
  • now add ghee and mix until it is crumbley
  • add curd and mix well
  • add water as required to form a dough without kneading ,cover with the moist cloth and rest aside for 15 minutes
  • slightly knead the dough make rough lemon sized balls
  • Make dent at the centre with thumb
  • meanwhile prepare sugar syrup. dissolve sugar in 1/2 cup water
  • Add saffron and mix well. Cook until 1 string consistency is achieved
  • Switch off. Add cardamom and mix well
  • Deep fry over low medium heat until golden brown and crispy
  • Immediately drop badushas in prepared sugar syrup
  • Let it soak for 5-10 minutes
  • Garnish top with chopped cashews and serve
