Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 7-8 Fish pcs (marinate fish wid chilli powder, lil tandoori masala, fish masala, turmeric powder, salt, lemon juice n garlic paste) 7-8 nos

  • Onions (mek golden crispy birista) 1/2 kgs

  • tomatoes 1/2 kgs

  • Tomato puree 2 tbsp

  • Dahi 1/2 cups

  • Chilli powder 1-2 tsp

  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

  • Salt 1 pinch

  • Garam masala 1 tsp

  • Few whole Garam masala (cardamon, cinnamon, tej patta, cloves n black peppercorns) 1 tsp

  • Garlic paste 1 tbsp

  • Potatoes (halved n fried in birista oil til browned up) 4 nos

  • Rice:Basmati long grains Rice 1/2 kgs

  • Salt 1 pinch

  • Whole garam masala (cardamon, cinnamon, cloves, tej pattas n black peppercorns) 1 tsp

  • Jeera (cummin seeds) 1/2 tbsp

  • Saffron strands 4-5 nos

  • Lemon juice 1/2 nos

  • Ghee 3 tbsp

  • Kesar color 1 pinch

Directions

    Fry marinated fish o cn grill it

  • 02

    Tek a pot put 3 tbsp oil wich u fried birista wid kip on flame n add whole garam masala let it splutter

  • 03

    Add tomatoes n cook on med flame til its soft n paste like

    Add ol spices, garlic n dahi mix well add potatoes n cook on low o med flame

  • 05

    Add birista (remuv lil, for rice n garnish) also add tomato puree (n kip high flame if its watery)

    Wen dried up a bit simmer if u r not mixing wid rice if mixing wid rice do not simmer kip aside will simmer wid rice.

    Add fish in masala n scoop some masala n top on fish

    Garnish wid chopped corriander leaves n birista

    Rice: Kip a pot on flame wid 6 cups of water

  • 10

    Add whole garam masala n let boil wen bubbling add salt, rice n jeera cook til olmost done.

    Kip ready a strainer beneath a pot, pour ol rice wid water on it n let ol water get strained out

    In de same pot wich u boiled rice put hlf of de rice put 1 tbsp ghee n 1 tbsp used oil of birista if remaining

    Mix well add saffron, lemon juice mix in kesar color n mix well wid rice.....

    Add de remaining rice spread ghee 1 tbsp n stir slightly

    Sprinkle remaining birista

    Tek baking paper o foil paper cut size of pot, n cover wid dat n put a lid

    Simmer de rice (kip sumthing heavy on top so no smoke escapes)

    If using charcoal cn kip few charcoal on top n leave very few in de charcoal stove

    After 20mins u wil gt nice aroma of rice, chek if smoke kums out as u open its done.

    While serving cn kip rice on one side n fish masala on de oder topped wid fish

    Serve wid raita or kachoomer.
